Red Tailed Cockatoos feeding habits

As an exciting update to the story about the Red Tailed Cockatoos, we have for the past two days had a flock of them spending lots of time high in the branches of a huge Cape Lilac tree, in the yard behind my mother’s unit.  There is no doubt that the Red Tailed Cockatoo eats Cape Lilac berries – and yet, we understood them to be poisonous.  If anyone has anything to add to this, please do so……….
